Springfield Local Schools teacher placed on administrative leave

Superintendent Matt Geha says the teacher's last day in the classroom was Friday, January 26.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Springfield Local Schools teacher has been placed on administrative leave as of late January according to a statement from Superintendent Matt Geha.

According to the statement, Springfield Local Schools was made aware of allegations that one of its teachers was participating in conduct unbecoming of a professional educator.

The teacher’s last day in the classroom was on Friday January 26, and leave started on Monday,  January 29, according to Geha.

Details of the alleged conduct were not immediately available but WTOL 11 has reached out for more information.
