WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced Monday the approval of 11 projects, two of which are expected to create over 250 jobs in Wood County.
Vehtek Systems Inc. in Bowling Green and Norplas Industries in Rossford were two projects approved by the state that will bring jobs to Wood County.
According to the state, Vehtek Systems is expected to create 120 full-time positions and generate $5.9 million in new annual payroll, while Norplas Industries is expected to create 140 full-time positions and generate $6.3 million in new annual payroll.
The state said Vehtek Systems designs, develops and manufactures automotive systems assemblies, modules and components primarily for sale to original equipment manufacturers.
The proposed project in Bowling Green includes the lease of a new facility for the production of front and rear door components for electric vehicles.
Norplas Industries designs and manufactures automotive systems for original equipment manufacturers. The proposed project includes the lease and buildout of a new facility in Rossford for the production of a battery case/tray, the state said.
In total, the state is expected to create 1,025 new jobs and retain 567 jobs through the approval of the 11 state projects on Monday. The projects are also expected to result in more than $65 million in new payroll and $523 million in investments across the state.

- Vienna Beef Ltd. (Newcomerstown, Tuscarawas County)
- Integra Mission Critical LLC (Akron, Summit County)
- International Food Solutions, Inc. (Cleveland, Cuyahoga County)
- GKN Sinter Metals LLC (Gallipolis, Gallia County)
