TOLEDO, Ohio — Syncreon in north Toledo will be laying off workers due to upcoming shift changes announced by Stellantis.
The plant mass layoff will impact approximately 68 workers and begin on Feb. 5. The company anticipates that 41 operators, 17 forklift operators and 10 salaried employees will be affected, according to a WARN notice notification.
Syncreon also said that they expect these layoffs to be permanent because Stellantis is unable to provide a date that the Toledo facility will return to full production.
The syncreon plant, located at 1515 Matzinger Road, said that Stellantis is the only customer at the facility and Stellantis' shift changes eliminate work for employees at the plant.
The website for syncreon said that they, "specialize in the design and operation of supply chain solutions for Automotive, Technology, Consumer Home Products, Industrial, Healthcare & MedTech companies."
