TECUMSEH, Mich. — Tecumseh Public Schools announced that Monday's informational meeting on the sinking fund millage has been canceled and the meeting schedule will resume next week.

Tecumseh schools announced last month that it is asking voters to approve a 1.75 mill sinking fund that will be put on the November ballot.

The district said the proposal will generate approximately $7.5 million over five years, beginning with "critical" repairs to the Tecumseh Community Memorial Pool.

"The sinking fund, which is interest-free, is essential for ensuring safe and modern facilities for our students, including roof repairs at all four buildings, heating and cooling system replacements, boiler upgrades and technology infrastructure upgrades," Tecumseh schools said in a social media post.

The district said a detailed presentation, planned projects, estimated costs, an understanding of a sinking fund, election info and more can be found on its website HERE.
