TOLEDO, Ohio — A fire that started at a home in south Toledo was quickly extinguished by firefighters Wednesday morning.
Toledo Fire & Rescue Department responded to a fire call just before 5:15 a.m. at a home near Western Avenue. Crews arrived within minutes to put the fire out.
Occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire but were able to make it out safely. No injuries have been reported.
The fire chief on scene tells WTOL 11 the fire started in the roof line around the furnace exhaust pipe. A resident called it in while exiting the home.
