TOLEDO, Ohio — A night full of "gin and sin."
That is how Sugar Vermonte described the upcoming grand opening celebration at Hamburger Mary's newest addition "The Hideout at Mary's."
After a soft opening in November, Vermonte said The Hideout's grand opening on Feb. 10 will give guests a true taste of the venue's potential as a unique experience beyond just your average nightclub or bar.
The Hideout is located above Hamburger Mary's at 329 N. Huron St. in downtown Toledo. Unlike the all-ages restaurant below, The Hideout will be exclusive to patrons 18 and older, and open Friday and Saturday nights.
Vermonte, a planner and promoter for The Hideout, has a vision for the venue as a truly immersive experience, pulling inspiration from one of the most famous places for entertainment in the entire world.
"I was inspired by themed parties in Vegas and wanted to take this back here to Toledo," Vermonte said.
For its grand opening, Vermonte said the space will undergo a complete transformation inspired by the "Midsummer Night's Dream" party from the Amazon Prime movie "Saltburn."
A sprawling English castle, maze and "plenty of selfie opportunities" are a few things Vermonte said to expect during The Hideout's grand opening celebration.
Vermonte said she planned on having themed parties at least once a month at The Hideout.
"The ambiance is amazing," Vermonte said.
Not unlike its downstairs neighbor, the party will feature performances similar to Hamburger Mary's. Vermonte will serve as co-host for the evening, joined by Sammy Gunz and Hamburger Mary's co-owner Justyce Sinclaire.
"Murder On The Dancefloor" is Feb. 10, at The Hideout at Mary's, located at 329 N. Huron St. There is no cover for partygoers aged 21 and older, and $10 for anyone ages 18-20. Tickets will be available at the door.
The party begins at 9 p.m. and, according to Vermonte, will "end when it ends."
