COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Fire Academy celebrated their newest class of graduates at a ceremony in Reynoldsburg.
The class consisted of 32 hardworking students who completed a 10-week program of academic and physical activity to become firefighters. Not only do students learn to become firefighters, they learn important skills like professionalism, leadership, teamwork and more.
Class 239 graduate Wyatt Warnock said, “All my life I’ve wanted to find a career where I’m able to help others and I believe the aspect of brotherhood and leadership that comes with the fire service is the perfect job for me. I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else,".
The OFA training program is the only program in Ohio where students can earn Firefighter I & II state certifications along with eight more certifications.
