Toledo fire crews battle blaze on Columbus and Erie streets

Firefighters conducted a search of the two-story structure, which was found to be vacant. Calls about the fire came in just before 7:30 a.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Fire and Rescue Department crews were called to a structure fire in north Toledo right before 7:30 a.m. Monday.

A Toledo fire spokesperson said the department was called out to the fire - a vacant two-story building - and during the call they also were alerted to be at the scene of a carryout across the street. That call ended up not being a fire.

There are no reports of injuries from the scene.
