TOLEDO, Ohio — According to Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, crews began battling a fire at two residential structures in north Toledo late Friday night.
The homes are located in the 200 block of East Pearl Street, near the intersection of Manhattan Boulevard and LaGrange Street.
According to crews on scene, the fire began in a vacant house, and it spread to the home next door.
TFRD told WTOL 11 the second home did have residents living there, but there were no occupants present at the time of the fire. They also stated that damage did occur to the second house.
Toledo fire said investigators were called on scene to figure out what sparked the initial fire in the vacant home.
Emergency responders state no injuries were reported following the incident.
