TOLEDO, Ohio — The city of Toledo is looking for grass and vegetation-cutting contractors for the 2025 grass mowing season. Here's what the program entails, as well as how to apply.
Selected contractors will be responsibly for mowing city parks, right-of-ways and neighborhood parcels in 2025, the city said in a press release Wednesday. The bid process to become a contractor for the city has already opened, and will remain so until it closes on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
Interested contractors can apply at the following link. The application requires contractors to make an account through "Planet Bids".
For more information on the city's 2025 Grass Mowing Program, potential contractors can attend help sessions, put on by the city's department of Public Service.
Two programs will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Main Library in downtown Toledo. The first program will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the second will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. the same day. Contractors are encouraged to bring with them their laptops due to limited computer availability.
According to the release, the help sessions will assist potential contractors with providing proper paperwork, insurance requirements, tax requirements and the application process as a whole.
A webinar is also available on the bidding process. Click here to watch it.
