What streets are on Toledo's list for repair in 2023?

The city plans work for more than 100 Toledo streets this year.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo city officials announced the list of proposed street projects for 2023 at a Wednesday-morning news conference.

The city's $29,120,714 program for the year calls for work on 105 residential streets throughout the city, covering 44.67 lane miles.

Also, the city's patch-and-seal program will include 14.77 miles of 44 streets and an overlay program that covers 7.92 miles of 24 streets. Those projects will cost the city $10,086,765 this year.

Crews are expected to get to work on the projects in April and continue work through October.

Work is expected to begin in April, weather permitting, and it is anticipated to be finished by October 2023.

The residential roads projects are funded through a 0.25 percent income tax that Toledo voters approved in 2020. The city also uses state gas-tax money to pay for its patch-and-seal program.
