TOLEDO, Ohio — A south Toledo man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly stabbed another person in the head with a screw.
According to court documents from Toledo police, Timothy Poe, 44, was arrested Friday after a verbal altercation broke out between Poe and another individual at a business in the 2500 block of N. Detroit Avenue near Delaware Avenue.
Detectives investigating the incident said Poe was holding a large screw in his hand when he struck the victim in the head. The screw penetrated the victim's skull behind his ear, resulting in the victim being rushed into emergency brain surgery.
Police described the injury in a subsequent report as life-threatening.
Poe is being charged with felonious assault and is currently being housed in the Lucas County jail. In his arraignment on Saturday, May 25, Poe's bond was set at $75,000 with no percent.
Editor's note: This story has been updated to include the condition of the victim, which was made available in a Toledo police report.
