TOLEDO, Ohio — A south Toledo man has been arrested following a high-speed chase shortly before midnight on Friday.
A Toledo police report stated that Trent Bond fled from police when they attempted to make a traffic stop in "fully marked patrol cars equipped with overhead emergency lights and sirens that were activated." Bond initially stopped, then fled, according to a Toledo police report.
Crews later located Bond at Monroe Street and Sylvania Avenue and pursued Bond through the city at speeds over 100 miles per hour. Bond drove dangerously through residential neighborhoods, police said.
Police say Bond's vehicle eventually lost a tire and came to a stop after Bond struck a curb which disabled the vehicle near the roundabout at Detroit Avenue and Cherry Street.
Police arrested Bond without incident, the report said.
Bond was charged with failure to comply, driving with a suspended license and speeding.
In addition, a court document says Bond was driving 81 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone on the expressway with a suspended license.
