TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo woman died last month after she was assaulted back in January. Now, her son has been indicted and charged with murder.
On New Year's Day, Judith Simpson, 79, was found inside her home on the 2300 block of North Holland Sylvania Road where police discovered she had been assaulted.
The victim's son, Charles Simpson, 40, was arrested and charged with felonious assault.
On May 3, Judith Simpson died as a result of her injuries.
On Wednesday, June 26, Charles Simpson was indicted and charged with murder. He has been in custody since his arrest on January 1.
