TOLEDO, Ohio — Get ready pickleball lovers and those looking to get into the world's fastest-growing sport.
Toledo Pickle announced Wednesday that its facility at 1030 Water Street in Toledo's Historic Vistula District is set for its grand opening on January 22.
According to Toledo Pickle, the facility will feature 10 indoor and two outdoor professional-style pickleball courts, a destination restaurant, and a range of recreational activities such as rock wall climbing, cornhole, shuffleboard and tournaments.
The company said entertainment options include music, boat docks and live concerts.
Toledo Pickle provided additional features that the facility will include:
- Open recreational play for new to advanced players, with spectator areas
- League play, as well as regional and national tournaments
- Pro-shop to buy or rent equipment
- Teaching professionals with individual and group lessons
- Online court scheduling
- Multiple membership options for exclusive benefits
- Private meeting rooms can be rented for corporate retreats, team-building programs, family get-togethers, birthdays and celebrations.
Pickleball facility coming to Toledo
Toledo Pickle teamed up with Metroparks Toledo to bring the facility to the area as part of the Glass City Riverwalk project.
“We started a few years ago this concept of bringing this family entertainment piece which involves pickleball, but also involves restaurants and bars," Brian Epstein, managing member of Toledo Pickle, LLC said. "We really wanted to bring something that the whole family can enjoy."
