TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a deadly shooting of a pregnant woman in south Toledo on Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened just before 5 a.m. in the 5300 block of Norton Place near Reynolds Road and Airport Highway. Officers responded to reports of a person shot and found the pregnant victim, Tameisha Price, 34, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
On Thursday, the Lucas County Coroner revealed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death as a homicide. The coroner also said that a separate fetal death certificate for Price's unborn baby girl would be issued after the autopsy ruled the cause of death as complications with maternal gunshot wounds.
Price was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no one in custody related to the incident and no suspects have been named.
