TOLEDO, Ohio — A person is hospitalized following a shooting Wednesday night in central Toledo.
Officers responded to the scene just before 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Central Avenue. The victim, identified by police at the scene as a juvenile male, had been shot in the leg.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting appeared to be self-inflicted, according to a Toledo police sergeant at the scene.
Police did not specify if the incident was believed to be accidental. The identity and age of the victim have not been released.
