Toledo police warning of court fees, fines scam

TPD said scammers are sending texts or emails claiming to be from the Violations and Fines Office, demanding money for outstanding fees and fines.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department is warning of a court fee and fines scam going around.

TPD said scammers are sending texts or emails claiming to be from Toledo Municipal Court's Violations and Fines Office, demanding money for outstanding fees and fines. 

Police said Toledo Municipal Court will never contact you this way. If you have questions or concerns about fines and fees, you're asked to contact the court by phone at 419-936-3650.
