Toledo Public Schools to host Next Step Event

'Next Step', Toledo's largest college and career event will take place Oct. 8-10

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Public Schools will be hosting a three-day event called 'Next Step' for middle and high school students that will present students with higher education and future career opportunities.


Next Step is set to take place Oct. 8-10 at the Glass City Center. Each day, TPS students will attend the event between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with a lunch break from 11-11:30 a.m.


Students will be able to explore various career and educational opportunities. TPS high schools and magnet schools will be in attendance, as well as more than 60 colleges and universities. TPS Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant is also scheduled to make an appearance on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m.


TPS officials said the district’s goal is to get students to think about and start to prepare for their next step in education.
