TOLEDO, Ohio — According to the Toledo Police Department, four teenagers reportedly stole a vehicle on South Expressway Drive. The incident occurred just before noon on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
According to authorities, the stolen vehicle was spotted by police on Elm Street. When police crews attempted to make a traffic stop, the vehicle fled towards South Expressway Drive and attempted to make a left turn into oncoming traffic.
The vehicle failed to turn successfully and struck the concrete sound barrier wall.
The four 15-year-olds occupying the vehicle then fled the scene on foot but were later caught by responding officers.
One of the teens was transported to the hospital where they were treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
The names of all four juveniles are being withheld pending the notification of family members. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
