TOLEDO, Ohio — Multiple trees have fallen and caused damage in south Toledo Friday afternoon as northwest Ohio feels the remnants of Hurricane Helene, the Category 4 storm that made landfall in Florida Thursday night.

One tree fell onto a home and Yaryan Drive, blocking the street between Circular Road and Rohr Boulevard. City of Toledo crews are actively trying to remove the tree.

Another tree just south in Beverly Park fell onto a resident's house on Bradford Drive. The homeowner told WTOL 11 she had just bought a new roof a couple of months ago.

The extent of damage to either home is unclear at this time.

Gusty winds of 30-45 mph are expected out of the east or northeast on Friday.
