MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — A Toledo woman was killed and four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a crash Saturday evening in Monroe County.
The woman, 53, is not identified in a press release from Michigan State Police.
According to police, the woman was driving a Toyota Camry south on Telegraph Road near Indian Trail Road in Ash Township around 7 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed the center line, hitting a Chevrolet Silverado driving north on Telegraph Road.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers in the Camry and the driver of the Silverado were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say speed "appears to be a factor in the crash."
"Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact Tpr. Kirsch of the Michigan State Police Monroe Post at 734-242-3500," according to the MSP.
