TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo woman lost $1000 at a local Chuck E. Cheese, but not for the reason you may think.
On Sunday, Jan. 14 a woman held a birthday party for her child at the Chuck E. Cheese located on Monroe Street.
After leaving the establishment, the woman realized that she was missing her purse. She promptly returned to the building where Chuck E. Cheese employees told her that they had found her purse in the bathroom.
Upon further investigation the woman realized that $1000 from her purse had been stolen and that her credit cards had been rummaged through. No other items had been stolen.
According to records from the Sylvania Police Department, the woman was told by staff that a review of the security cameras would be conducted to determine how her purse ended up in the restroom.
The woman claims that there was only one other family inside the location when she originally left.
The incident is currently under further investigation.
