TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo police cruiser was involved in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in south Toledo.
According to Toledo police, a driver had a medical emergency around 5:30 p.m. between South Byrne Road and Byrneport Drive, drove out of their lane and collided with two oncoming cars, including a TPD cruiser.
Police said the driver who suffered the medical emergency was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The officers in the TPD cruiser are being inspected by medics, but it is unknown if they suffered any injuries. Police said the driver of the other involved vehicle did not need medical assistance.
