TPD: Man shot in upper thigh in central Toledo parking lot early Tuesday

A 38-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being found inside a vehicle on Dorr Street with a single gunshot wound.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating after a man was found with a single gunshot wound in his upper thigh Tuesday morning.

Officers responded at 3:53 a.m. to a Shot Spotter Alert on the 900 block of Dorr Street in central Toledo. While heading to the scene, a call came in about a person shot in the same area.

Upon arrival, TPD located a 38-year-old man inside a vehicle on Dorr Street with a single gunshot wound.

According to a police report, the man told officers he was, "in the parking lot of an apartment complex checking the air in his tires when he was shot one time" by an unknown suspect.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-serious injuries, a police report said.

No arrests were made.
