LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — Trash and recycling collection is back to usual after delays from last Friday's winter storm and the Christmas holidays.
Republic Services, which handles refuse and recycling for customers in the greater Toledo area, announced Wednesday that it has returned to business as usual this week.
The regular collection schedule was interrupted Friday by a winter storm that hit the area. Customers whose collection day was missed will follow the usual schedule for Friday, Dec. 30, a Republic Services spokesperson said.
Recycling will not be picked up Friday for those impacted by the service interruption, but will be picked up for anyone regularly scheduled to receive recycling collection services this week.
Additionally, the first week of 2023 will not be delayed due to the holidays. Trash and recycling days will follow the normal schedule.
If you are a Republic Services customer, you can find your collection schedule by searching your address at this link: www.republicservices.com/schedule
