TPD: Two juveniles riding motorbike struck by motorist in east Toledo Saturday

Police say the two kids were ages 12 and 10. It's unclear what kind of motorbike the kids were riding.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two children around were rushed to the hospital on Saturday afternoon after being hit by a car in east Toledo, according to Toledo police.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Genesee Street and Craig Street.

Police say the kids, ages 12 and 10, were riding on a motorbike when it was struck by the car before the car then ran into a utility pole. The children were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Police taped off a portion of the intersection as they investigated the crash as witnesses and family members gathered in the area.

A gray sedan could be seen in the taped-off area with a motorbike under the front bumper.
