FINDLAY, Ohio — The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is investigating a multi-vehicle crash around 6 p.m. Friday evening that sent two people to the hospital.

Authorities report that they received a call for an injury crash near the intersection of County Road 7 and County Road 11 on Friday, Aug. 30. While in route to the crash, officers state they found another collision at the intersection of County Road 7 and County Road 330.

Upon further investigation of the crash near County Road 330, investigators report that a 62-year-old man from Carey was driving a Honda Accord westbound on County Road 7 when he failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.

The vehicle struck the passenger side of a Ford F-150 traveling southbound, driven by a 64-year-old man from Bowling Green, stated responders on scene.

Both drivers were transferred to area hospitals with "suspected serious injuries," according to a report from the Hancock County sheriff. The driver of the Honda Accord was transferred to a hospital via Life Flight and the driver of the Ford was transferred to a separate hospital by ground EMS, according to the report.

The current condition of both men is unknown at this time.

Investigators do not believe the drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.
