LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — A driver has been indicted on multiple charges following a crash that killed a 92-year-old woman in Lucas County in January.
The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 21 at Lyon Road west of the Bono curve, according to Jerusalem Twp. Fire and Rescue, near Curtice.
Lyon Road is near Phantom Fireworks.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old from Cleveland, Caleb Moore, was driving west on Route 2 when he allegedly went left of center, striking a car being driven by Terry Miller, 67, of Curtice head on.
Mary R. Spetz, 92, of Oregon, who was a passenger in Miller's car, died as a result of the crash.
Miller was taken to the hospital in Toledo with serious injuries. Moore was taken to the hospital in Oregon with minor injuries.
Alcohol and marijuana impairment is suspected to be a factor, according to court documents.
Moore was indicted Wednesday on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of aggravated vehicular assault and two counts of operating a vehicle while under the influence.
