'I just really want closure for my son': Unsolved homicide victim's family still searching for answers 2 years later

Travis Glenn was playing with his kids at home in 2022 when bullets came through the front window, killing him. Two years later, his family still seeks answers.

TOLEDO, Ohio — More than a year after a Toledo father was shot and killed in his own home, police are still looking for the killer.

The 2022 homicide of Travis Glenn, who was hit by bullets that flew into his west Toledo home on Upton Avenue while he was inside playing with his kids and girlfriend, remains unsolved.

Glenn's mother sat down with WTOL 11 to update us on what she's heard about the case. The family is looking for answers.

“My son, Travis, was a great father, great son,” said Claudia Kemp.

He was a father who loved going to the beach, fishing and teaching his kids.

"They took a life and that man was loved, loved by many,” Kemp said.

While the bullets hit Glenn and his girlfriend, Alexis Quillen, the children were unharmed.

WTOL 11 spoke with Quillen three days after the shooting and she described the terror.

"I felt something hit my face, and I grabbed my kids and told them to get to the ground," Quillen told WTOL 11 in 2022. "We were right by Travis' feet. My daughter was wrapped up in his arms when it happened. We dropped to the ground. I looked up and I'd seen that he was hit."

That day is one that Kemp says she'll never forget.

"It's been hard. It's been really hard without him,” she said of her son.

WTOL 11 reached out to the Toledo Police Department, which said the investigation is ongoing but declined an interview as there are no updates or information in the case.

Kemp said the family still hopes for answers to the shooting that took the life of one of her five children.

"I just really want closure for my son. My son needs justice," she said. "You took a father, you took a son you took my baby boy."

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
