UToledo's Dean of College of Engineering resigns after Title IX investigation

T. Michael Toole resigned on March 18 following a Title IX investigation, according to the university.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo's Dean of the College of Engineering has resigned after a Title IX investigation.

T. Michael Toole resigned on March 18 following the investigation, the university said.

UToledo released a statement that said:

The University of Toledo is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming campus environment for everyone and we expect our leaders to adhere to the highest standards. We take all reports of harassment seriously and investigate and act in accordance with the law.

The Title IX Office investigates reports of sexual misconduct, implements supportive measures when necessary and works to remedy the effects of sexual misconduct. The University is dedicated to continuously strengthening our efforts to raise awareness and how we provide support for those involved.

The exact details of the investigation are not yet known.
