Annual 'Holidays at the Manor House' begin Saturday at Wildwood

'Tis the season to be jolly and the 48th annual 'Holidays at the Manor House' begins on Saturday at Wildwood Preserve Metropark.

TOLEDO, Ohio — 'Tis the season to be jolly and for a 48th year, the historic Manor House is getting in the spirit.

Metroparks Toledo's Holidays at the Manor House begin Saturday at Wildwood Metropark. The event is free and open to community members every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Dec. 10.

Every year, tens of thousands of people tour the decorated house, admiring more than 30 holiday displays within the 30,000-square-foot manor.

Among this year's themed displays are "Noël en Provence" by Alliance Française de Toledo, "Cruising Route 66" by Car Cruisers for Hospice and "A Heavy Metal Christmas" by blacksmith Carolyn Powers.

A short walk from the manor will lead visitors to Metropark Hall, where the Swanton Area Railroad and Model Club will have its annual display of model trains.

Community members can also enjoy the park's outdoor light displays along Central Avenue and the Ottawa River.

Admission is free and no reservations are required for the festivities.
