TOLEDO, Ohio — It was one of the most exciting finishes in Kentucky Derby history and the perfect beginning for a new bar in west Toledo called Derby’s.
The party at Derby's on Monroe St was still going strong long after the race ended with lots of excitement and happy people having a good time.
The inside of Derby’s was packed all day long.
There was even a horse there to get people into the spirit that was brought in by Brownstone Western Stable.
And the bar is hoping to keep the excitement going into the summer season.
One of the managers says that they will also have lots of food trucks in the near future.
Dozens of people enjoyed music, food and, of course, the Kentucky Derby.
“Obviously they have a beautiful spirit here people are coming in “said Mario Tucker, Manager, Derby’s.
Customers agreed.
“It’s a great environment, great music, great drinks, great people, it’s great everyone is the sweetest, everyone should come out here”, said a group of recent graduates from Loudes University.
Derby's is open Tuesday through Saturday each week.
