WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Wood County.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. on South Dixie Highway north of Cygnet Road.
The sheriff's office said Kurt Mazey, 58, of Weston, was driving southbound on Dixie Highway when he went left of center and struck a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old from Fostoria head-on.
According to the sheriff's office, Mazey was pronounced dead at the scene and the 23-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
