WILLIAMS CENTER, Ohio — One teenager was killed and another was hospitalized with serious injuries after a single-car crash early Tuesday morning in Williams County.
Jennavieve Ebersole, 16, of Bryan, was driving southbound on County Road 13 south of County Road 1 with another 16-year-old in the passenger seat at about 5:30 a.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Ebersole lost control of the vehicle, which went off the right side of the road and overturned several times, OSHP says. Ebersole was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The 16-year-old passenger was fully ejected from the vehicle and taken by air ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries.
OSHP says safety belts were not used in the crash, which is still under investigation.
