TOLEDO, Ohio — You never know when the scratch off game you have been playing for a while is going to pay off.
That's what happened to Toledoan Thomas Kaminski, who won $20,000 playing the Ohio Lottery’s scratch-off, Triple Red 777 at the Stop and Go on Eleanor Avenue in west Toledo.
“The ticket that I won on was one I had been playing at the same location a week before and kept losing,” said Kaminski.
After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings, Kaminski will receive approximately $14,400.
Triple Red 777 is a $10 scratch-off with a top prize of $500,000. As of September 26, the Ohio Lottery has three top prizes remaining in Triple Red 777.
