TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are currently investigating a west Toledo crash that sent a woman and a child to the hospital.
According to the police report, the crash occurred around 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16 on Douglas Road, near Kenwood Boulevard.
Police stated that two vehicles were driving south on Douglas Road when the vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Toledo woman went off the road and struck a pole. Police reported that the vehicle was then struck by the other southbound vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Toledo woman.
According to investigators, the vehicle driven by the 35-year-old woman contained two passengers, a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl.
Responding officers said the woman and her 3-year-old passenger were transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 5-year-old passenger and the other driver were not injured in the crash.
It is unknown what caused the first vehicle to veer off the road.
