LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lenawee County on Monday morning.
The crash happened on M-50 near Rixom Highway in Ridgeway Township around 7:20 a.m. The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office said that a 55-year-old woman from the Onsted area was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's office did not share the name of the woman who died.
Deputies said she was driving a Chevy Malibu eastbound on M-50 when a Ford F350 truck driven by a 23-year-old from Dundee traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck the 55-year-old.
The female driver of the Ford F350 was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The sheriff's office said that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
According to the sheriff's office, the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene, and the crash remains under further investigation.
