RUDOLPH, Ohio — A 50-year-old died and a juvenile and another adult were hospitalized with injuries after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon about five-and-a-half miles south of Bowling Green.
Cassy Shank, of Risingsun, Ohio, was driving eastbound on Mermill Road at about 2:30 p.m. in a sedan and failed to yield for a pickup truck driving northbound on state Route 25, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
The pickup truck, driven by a 57-year-old, then struck Shank's vehicle, which the juvenile, 11, was a passenger in.
Shank was not wearing a seatbelt and died from her injuries at the scene, the sheriff's office said in a press release. Shank's juvenile passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
