The power lines were downed as thunderstorms sweep through northwest Ohio Thursday evening and night.

Increasing heat and humidity levels will fuel isolated thunderstorms Thursday evening, and a few storms may pack a punch with heavy downpours and gusty winds.

The greatest risk of a strong to severe storm will occur along the Lake Erie shoreline from Monroe to Port Clinton and Sandusky.
