TOLEDO, Ohio — The YWCA of Northwest Ohio has announced the extraordinary women who will be recognized at the 30th Annual Milestone Awards luncheon.
The prestigious event celebrates the achievements of women in the community across various sectors, including government, social services and education. On Tuesday, Lisa McDuffie, YWCA president and CEO, announced the eight honorees for 2025.

- Diane Friedman - Volunteerism
- Olivia Holden - Business
- Lisa A. Sobecki - Government
- Alicia M. Smith - Social Services
- Ebony Carter - Woman on the Rise
The honorees were chosen from over 80 submissions from members of the community.
“To be recognized by the YWCA Milestone Award is a phenomenal opportunity, not only for me, but for Notre Dame Academy and all we’ve done for women in our community," said Kim Grilliot, president of Notre Dame Academy. "The YWCA has given so much back to the Toledo community. It’s just an honor to receive such a wonderful recognition.”
The YWCA of Northwest Ohio is the oldest and largest women’s movement in the area, providing essential services for women and their families. The organization offers a safe and inclusive space where community members can access support, resources, and educational opportunities to achieve their full potential. The programs focus on leadership development, women’s empowerment and social justice advocacy.
Through workshops, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives, the YWCA is driving positive change throughout northwest Ohio.
