FULTON COUNTY, OH (WTOL) - Detectives say they have arrested a man that kidnapped, raped and beat to death a 14-year-old-girl 24 years ago.

The brutal cold case murder mystery, up until now, left a Fulton County family grieving for their daughter.

Sevier County sheriff's deputies arrested 42-year-old Walter Zimbeck at his Tennessee home around 11:18 p.m. Monday.

Zimbeck has been charged with aggravated murder in Fulton County. He faced a magistrate Tuesday morning and was not issued a bond.

Detectives say Zimbeck killed 14-year-old Lori Ann Hill in October of 1985.

She went to a party the night she went missing, got a ride to a pizza parlor and was last seen alive walking alone on an overpass. Days later, a deer hunter found her naked body in some woods.

Detectives say she had been raped and was beaten with an iron tool.

WTOL is still waiting to learn what led authorities to Zimbeck.

Over the last two decades, Hill's family raised $50,000 dollars as a reward and went on national talk shows to continue their search for Lori Ann's Killer.
