DUNDEE, MI (WTOL) - A Dundee man and U.S. Navy Captain, found out you never know when you might be called upon to save someone's life.

Capt. Matthew Labert was enjoying a meal with his family at the Applebee's Restaurant on Whitetail Drive around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday when a 62-year-old woman in the restaurant began choking, turned blue in the face and was unable to breathe on her own.

Mr. Labert, on leave from Virginia Beach, Virginia, jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver on the woman.
