FINDLAY, OH (Toledo News Now) - If you're looking for a job, you may want to head to Findlay.
A brand new warehouse is in the works for Ohio Logistics. Officials say they're looking to hire 35-45 new workers, with 30 being full-time positions. The new facility will sit on Distribution Drive by March.
Findlay Economic Director Anthony Iriti says the company has really made an effort to bring work to Findlay.
"Ohio Logistics is a home-grown company that has expanded many times," Iriti said. "In this particular case, they're going to be adding about 250,000 square feet of warehousing."
Ohio Logistics provides warehouse and transportation services. The company spans from Ohio to Georgia.
Construction will begin soon for the new warehouse. The company is working with Findlay's Job Solutions to gather applicants for jobs.
"Primarily warehousing and truck driving," said Carolyn Rodenhauser, workforce development administrator at Job Solutions. "Starting salary is $10 an hour, with benefits."
Rodenhauser says Ohio Logistics is just one of several companies in need of new workers. Job Solutions has received so many requests for employees, they're even looking outside of Hancock County to fill them.
"We've found, especially in the last year, a lot of growth with our companies, with businesses," she said. "And there's a number of grants out there that we can help them with on the job training, as well."
