TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - The Scott High School Class of 1983 is hosting alumni events around the city this weekend.
They are hoping to raise money for a scholarship named after Scott High grad Sergeant Anthony Huggins.
Huggins was a US Army warrant officer of 10 years who died in a helicopter crash in 1993.
"His part he gave for our country. I think is a great thing for people to come in and donate for the scholarship fund in his name," said Michael Huggins Community Organizer.
On Friday there will be a red carpet and banquet at Garden Lakes Banquet Hall on Dorr Street. Then on Sunday, there will be a gathering at Detweiler Park.
