One woman dead, another in jail after Ottawa County motorcycle accident

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol 47-year-old Keith Tressel from Lorain was riding north on State Route 269 when he ran into a Jeep pulling out of a private driveway.

OTTAWA COUNTY, OH (WTOL) - A woman is dead and another is in jail after a motorcycle accident in Ottawa County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol 47-year-old Keith Tressel from Lorain was riding north on State Route 269 when he ran into a Jeep pulling out of a private driveway.

Tressel's passenger, 45-year-old, Kelly Tressel, also from Lorain, was thrown from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a helmet.

Troopers say the Jeep was being driven by 28-year-old Shelby Hufeld of Dearborn Heights, MI. Neither she, nor her passenger, Jakoby Hufeld, 8, were injured.

Hufeld was charged with failure to yield, operating a vehicle while impaired, child endangerment, possession of marijuana and aggravated vehicular homicide. 
She was taken to the Ottawa County Jail.

Mr. Tressel suffered minor injuries.
