LANSING, Mich. — Republican Donald Trump carried the state of Michigan in the 2024 Presidential Election, defeating Democratic nominee Kamala Harris to capture the state's 15 electoral votes.
The Associated Press projected Trump to have won the state at 12:54 p.m., with unofficial results showing him receiving 2,793,837 votes, against Harris' 2,712,623 votes. Trump received 49.8% of the vote, while Harris received 48.3%.
This brings Trump's total number of electoral votes to 292, with Harris at 224. The Associated Press called the race for Trump early Wednesday morning.
President Joe Biden won the swing state of Michigan in the 2020 Presidential Election.
