TOLEDO, Ohio — The Point Place Business Association is holding a "Meet the Candidates" event for the public to learn about the people and issues on the ballot come Nov. 5.
The event, which is not a debate, will allow candidates and speakers on issues to introduce themselves during a three-minute window. According to a press release from the business association, 34 total candidates and speakers have been invited, and 24 have so far responded that they will attend.
The event will be emceed by WTOL 11's Kalie Marantette. It will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Friendship Park in Point Place.
