OHIO, USA — How many people have voted in Ohio now that early in-person voting has ended?
As of 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, the last day of early in-person voting in the state, almost one and a half million voters have cast their ballot at early vote centers statewide, according to an Ohio Secretary of State dashboard that tracks early in-person and absentee ballots.
That equals approximately 52,000 votes cast per day at early voting locations around the state.
In 2016, the number of early in-person voters totaled just over 665,000.
In Lucas County in 2024, 48,161 voters cast their ballot at the Board of Elections Early Vote Center since Oct. 8, an average of around 1,700 voters per day, helping to explain the long lines that sometimes stretched far outside the building.
In 2016, the total number of early in-person ballots cast in Lucas County was 20,575, according to the state’s Absentee Ballot Report for the 2016 General Election.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
