TOLEDO, Ohio — Amy Stoner has been elected as the new judge for the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division. Unofficial results show Stoner securing 89,740 votes, while her opponent, Robert Jones Jr., received 48,713 votes.
Stoner, who has a strong background in juvenile law and advocacy, will bring her extensive experience to the bench. Her campaign focused on improving the juvenile justice system, emphasizing rehabilitation and support for at-risk youth.
Throughout her campaign, Stoner highlighted the importance of addressing the root causes of juvenile delinquency and providing comprehensive support services for youth and their families. Her victory is seen as a mandate for reform and a commitment to creating a more supportive environment for young people in the judicial system.
As Stoner prepares to take on her new role, she has pledged to prioritize transparency, accountability, and community engagement. Her tenure is expected to bring innovative solutions and a fresh perspective to the challenges facing the Lucas County Juvenile Court.
The official results will be confirmed after the official canvass takes place.
